 Average Rating :
Rating : - JVC GZ-HD6 Mac compatibility issues I am very impressed with the image quality that I see on the built in display of the HD6. The battery life is relatively unimpressive. But the big difficulty I am having is in transferring the video from the camera to my brand new Macbook.
I have attempted to use Final Cut Pro and IMovie and neither one recognizes the files on the camera. In doing research after the fact, I discovered the lie that the camera is a true 1080P camera. JVC is not doing themselves any favors by misleading naive buyers. But worse than that, the fact that I have footage to edit that is totally unusable to me makes we wish I had returned the product within the 14 days for a full refund.
JVC, get your act together. Offer adequate solutions to import video from the camera to the computer or at least be honest enough to inform the buyer that "the GZ-HD6 is not a Macintosh compatible product." Get in touch with me, resolve the issue and I will remove my review from Amazon.
